Puckett Cemetery
is located about 1/10th mile west of 300W (commonly called Malfalfa Road) on the north side of State Road 22.

This cemetery was first known as Spice Run Cemetery and has burials as early as the 1840s. In about 1900 the members of the Christian Congregation Church of which Dr. John L Puckett was pastor, puchased the Spice Run Cemetery and two acres to be added to the burial ground.  The goal was to provide a free burial place for anyone who needed it.  Therefore, the cemetery was referred to as the Christian Congregational Cemetery, Pauper's Cemetery, Potter's Field and later as Puckett Cemetery in honor of Dr John L Puckett.  Later the cemetery was taken charge of by the Center Township Trustee.  There are many unmarked and unknown burials in this cemetery.  If anyone has knowledge of any I missed please contact me with the information.

Photos of this cemetery were taken by Ed Beheler with assistance of Debby Beheler.  Photos are copyrighted and not for re-publication. Database and research for this project are by Debby Beheler from obituaries and death index and earlier cemetery readings.
